About Us

In 1992 we moved to our farm and bought our first cows. Actually, we received our first heifer as a gift. Sandy's colleagues thought we needed a cow, so they surprised her with a pretty little Brangus heifer we called "Betty".

Of course, one calf would be lonely, so we bought three more Horned Herefords (they make the best Western art) and named them after women in Sandy's office: Lily, Pam and Elizabeth.

From then on, we've named our "girls" after real friends in our lives: Joan, Jimmie, Julia, Sherry B, Coni and Jack Fisher, Carol Murray and many more. Our first bull was a magnificent British White Bull named Archibob.

More About Us

We were having fun raising our cows and calves and learning as we went. Good friends and neighbors, Kathy and Steve Montgomery, began talking with us about British Whites. Before we knew it, we were members of the association and friends with some of the best cattle people in the country. Morris Halliburton and the Bohatys have been particularly helpful in showing us the ropes.
Over the past few years, we've bred up our own herd, added some good replacement heifers and bulls and retired the Herefords. Our purebreds are "poster children" for the breed. Our crossbreds are the best of both. The addition of British White genetics to our Hereford and Brangus cows have produced beautiful stock..great conformation, gentle disposition and easy calving.
Part of the success with our animals comes from careful stewardship of our land and cattle nutrition. We have beautiful native grasses and carefully cultivated Bermuda, clean fresh water and healthy feed supplements. You can tell by the looks of Boles Cattle, they are happy, healthy specimens.
